If you are searching for a place that values teamwork, collaboration, and communication, then we might be the place for you! What You'll Be Working On ? Taking medical histories; reviewing health care records; completing laboratory tests; and diagnostic imaging.
? Assist the doctor by preparing supplies and instruments; restraining animals; and explaining animal's discharge instructions and medications to the owners.
? Taking vital signs; collecting specimen samples; and administering medications and drugs as directed.
? Feeding and watering; walking boarding and hospitalized animals; cleaning cages; changing cages; and observing hospitalized patients.
? Sanitizing and disinfecting cages; storing sterile supplies; verifying shelf life on medications and supplies; following hospital standards and procedures; and complying with legal regulations.
? Handling medical records ? Taking messages for doctors Qualifications ? Must have prior experience working as a veterinary technician and have a CVT license ? Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills ? Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients ? Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment ? The right candidate will work well under pressure, accept new challenges and apply effective solutions, as well as work well in a team-oriented atmosphere ? The perfect applicant must be client focused, communicate effectively, and have excellent patient assessment and triage skills and well as animal handling and restraint.
